G-LEAD: SISTER SCHOOL

Sister School Partnership for Excellence, or Sister School, is a programme that brings two schools together, focussing on international collaboration for the benefits of both students and teachers.

Sister School is a great platform providing opportunities for students to develop skills that will encourage them to excel in school and in later life after school, i.e. work and society.

Schools under Sister School programme can participate in school visits, programme collaboration, joint projects, classroom interactions and school trips.

Under this programme, teachers and administrators can also share their best practices and learn from each other.

During school visit, the host school will decide the number of host students and teachers who will be involved and can also invite neighbouring schools to be part of one or two of the activities.

Schools are encouraged to have an official signing ceremony to mark their partnership, and the duration of their partnership can be decided by both schools together.

School visit and programmes will be organised within three days, from as early as 7.30 in the morning until 2.30 pm by the latest. However, the actual visit time during the 3-day programme will be determined by the host school.

After 2.30 pm, the visiting schools will visit local attractions and may also embark on short trips.

Either before or after school visit, visiting schools will have the opportunity to explore Kuala Lumpur and places of interest to experience the Malaysian life and culture.

Travel arrangement for schools visiting their sister schools in Malaysia will be managed by OBS Academy, the official organizer for  G-LEAD.

Schools visiting their sister schools in Malaysia are advised to spend at least five nights in Malaysia to be fully immersed in this programme. Extended stay in Malaysia is most welcome and OBS Academy will be delighted to assist.

Executive coordinators from OBS Academy will accompany the visiting school students, teachers and administrators throughout their stay in Malaysia.
